OUR STORY

When we started All Yours on 1st December 2020, we just wanted to provide some boxes of period products to people in our local community who were struggling to afford or access period products over the Christmas period.

Our simple ambition quickly turned into a large-scale project, and with the help of over forty volunteers we now provide period boxes for communities across West Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, Reading, Basingstoke, and Wiltshire. We also deliver period education workshops to schools and community groups to improve people’s understanding of their menstrual health and the product choices they have through All Yours.

We have partnered with over 50 organisations working within the community including food banks, community larders, schools, youth centres, community cafes, local libraries, and homeless shelters.

We have two types of boxes we provide to community and welfare organisations. One is for adults with more experience of their periods. The adult boxes contain either just period pads or a mix of tampons and period pads. The other box is for teenaged and younger children who are just getting to grips with their periods. These boxes contain day and night period pads designed specifically for younger bodies.

We have supported people of all ages to have a safe and dignified period on an individual basis and have helped Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents to ensure that their families have the period products they need each month. We have been told some heart-breaking stories of period poverty and helped many people who had been using improvised, unsafe alternatives to manage their periods.

And we have had the honour of receiving recognition for our work; Cara received the Prime Minister’s Points of Light Award in October 2021 and the West Berkshire Council’s Junior Citizen of the Year Award in December 2021. Caroline was awarded the Harper’s Bazaar Change Leader award at the 2021 Women of the Year Awards.

In October 2022, Caroline graduated from the School from Social Entrepreneur's #StartUp course and became a Fellow of the SSE.

Supporting All Yours means that we can continue to make and distribute boxes. A period is not a one-off event and people need ongoing support.

Thank you,

Caroline & Cara xx
